I ♥ the 80s: 1987 Toyota Tercel Wagon

The birdwatcher special, the original (?) tall wagon, complete with asymmetric tailgate long before it was fashionable. Probably has a lot of life left in it at 114,000 miles, but I'm not sure seller is going to find someone sufficiently enamored to pony up the apparent reserve. If it was a stick, I'd maybe think about it...

You've found my one true fucked up love. I get such a swoon in my heart for those ugly square things. Something soulful about them and not about the Volvos. Gimme an FX-16 any day!

The FX-16 with the 4AGE motor was hot! It was such a little Honda wannabe with its high redline and tight suspension. I always lusted for one, but my practical nature would always draw my focus back on that Tercel wagon. I remember seeing a high-end model of 4WD Tercel Wagon that had a guage that measured the tilt of the driving surface, but it still have little 13" pizza-cutter tires, so who's really gonna go offroad and take advantage of that feature?
