"Column mounted tach?"
Clearly, what we are dealing with here is one of the rare, hi-po "California Edition" Gremlins. Done up in "Encino Sky" paint, with the original "Golden State Stripe" still extant!
Rare, rare indeed.
(The palm tree was the giveaway.)
Fourth grade teachers from the 70's still get misty-eyed lookin' at a Gremlin.
These when equipped with the optional 301 V8, and wider tires were fairly quick, good for mid 16 sec 1/4 mile, not to bad for the early 70's still fairly ugly, my Dad bought one new in 72 and still has it in the garage.
