wow... i owned a 1980 ford thunderbird in the late 80s. complete shite, that one. very cheaply made. the lining on the ceiling came loose, the inside door handles fell off, the hood ornament broke if you looked at it sideways, both headlight covers stopped working in winter... had to tie them open with wire. electrical problems aplenty. ugh.
I owned one too. My fiance fell in love with the idea of owning a tbird at a police car auction. I bought mine for $240 plus auction fees. It was a heap, but the car had 2 saving graces...
1. Comared with my previous car, the tbird handled
2. the engine had some stomp.
otherwise I completely agree with Poopus...
