The Giugiaro-Designed Isuzu Coupe That Doesn't Share Its Name With a Hall-of-Fame Catcher
Everybody remembers the Piazza ("Impulse" in the U.S.), the stunning early '80s Ital Design showpiece improbably turned Japanese production car. But true Isuzu hardcores will point out that that car was merely a successor to the O.G. (Original Giugiaro) 117 Coupe that debuted all the way back in 1968.
Somehow this example found its right-hand-drive JDM way across the ocean to Canada, and into the hands of someone who recognized that the Italian master's work could be improved upon with the addition of chrome wire wheels (and spinners!).
